Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2009- all the Hammings journeyed home to Martinsburg for Thanksgiving. Kristen and Nick picked me up from the Pittsburgh airport. We drove the three hours back to Martinsburg together, and it was fun to hear Nick and Kristen's stories about Geneva.

Thanksgiving morning- Kristen and Nick caught doing what they do best- playing the Wii.

Well someone has to make the food while the others play. Mom and I were busy cooking the potatoes, the turkey, and all the vegetables.

Our very own Martha Stewart. Making stuffing is very serious business as you can see.

Katelyn busy working on her art project for school.

So I was busy peeling the sweet potatoes... and all of a sudden the last potato turned from orange to white. Needless to say it was strange. We are all not very sure how we seemed to have purchased a half albino sweet potato. Kristen decided that the occasion needed to be commemorated, and so she created this "still life" to show off the albino sweet potato.

Turkey's done!

Ok, there is something wonderfully yummy about corn from a can(and green beans for that matter too!).

And the table is set...

And Katelyn dressed up for the occasion. I must say, Katelyn has good taste.
