10 Best Photos From My Trip

Some of you know that a secret wish of my heart is to be a decent amateur photographer... well obviously I have not had any formal training, but I thought these pictures turned out better than all the rest. I have narrowed it down to what I think are the ten best photos. Here is the count down from ten to one with comments along the way so that you can live vicariously through me.

#10
Taken along the way during our walk around the Scottish town of Pitlochry. I really like the stone bridge and how the moss covers everything- just so green, beautiful, and pure.

#9
Loch near Fort William where we caught the "Harry Potter" steam train. An example of the "beach" in Scotland. The rocks amazed me because they seemed too large for there to be so many of them, but they covered the whole coast.

#8

Aiden with a sheep dog pup. The kids just loved the border collies. Something about the "little kid-ness" of Aiden's personality mixed with the joy on his face makes this picture special to me.

#7

The steam trains winds around the corner as I leaned out of the window trying to get this picture.

#6

Near the top of the William Wallace Monument, I had a moment of genius and asked a student take a picture of me looking out into the distance. I like how the wind is blowing my hair in crazy directions.

#5

Hadrian's Wall. I think it's the mixture of the bright colors of the students' jackets right next to the bright green grass that make this picture stand out.

#4
As we went punting along the River Cherwell, we crossed under all these adorable wooden bridges. Don't peace and serenity just flood over you as you look on this scene?

#3
Edinburgh castle (well part of it is more like it)...

#2
Urquhart Castle on the banks of Loch Ness. The reflection of the castle in the water makes it one of my favorites.

#1
I asked Nicholas for his help in deciding which of the pictures should be number 1, and he right away said that this picture of the London Eye was his favorite.
