Yesterday I went to The Fair... yes who knew that Miami had a fair. Well, actually I had heard that there was a fair last year, but feeling that it might be too ghetto I avoided it (some places in Miami are scary... ex. Santa's Enchanted Forest... yeah, just ask me I have heard some bad stories.) Anyway, the fair wasn't scary, it was actually quite entertaining. They had all the usual attractions, artwork by students (yes Miami has 4-H clubs!), people selling crafts, rides, animals, and of course the fabulous traveling food booths. I had a Greek gyro for the first time to eat for dinner, and it was quite good. So here are some of the highlights in pictures. Oh and they had pig races too. Kristen... do you remember the pig races at the NJ fair? It seemed so much cooler when we were kids... or maybe the guys who did the pig races in NJ in were just funnier (more funny??? (I was actually having this discussion with my students this week, any thoughts as to what is grammatically correct?))
