The Christmas Tree Experience 2008

And that is what it really is... an experience. Today marked the Hamming Family's annual trip to the Christmas Tree farm. We visited a new tree farm today (don't worry dad mentioned that we would be filling evaluation forms at the end of the experience to see if it matched up to past years and if we should return, we did get to go for a wagon ride... so it will probably be no contest). Many things were the same as in past years, Nick threw snow balls at Kristen and I, we went through about 10 different tree options until we found one, and Kristen and Nick joked about getting very ugly trees (Nick supposedly is going to have a gigantic tree in his living room one day). Somethings about this year's hunt were quite different, Katelyn didn't cry (she is growing up, I hear), but the most important difference was that mom didn't join us on our quest. She had to work, and decided that letting the rest of us get the tree today was a better alternative than waiting until we are all home again just 5 days before Christmas. I immediately felt that mom not joining us would be a bad idea, but she must have more faith in our choices than I do. Well... she hasn't seen it yet, but I think we did a pretty good job. What do you think?
