Now you might think that I live at my apartment, but you would be wrong because on average I spend about 10-12 hours at school and only 2-4 waking hours at home. Thus the reason I live at school. I would say that even though I am there all the time, I am not dreading going every morning. Although the pile of grading and the constant dread of not knowing what you are teaching tomorrow is something i wouldn't mind having a break from. Anyway, I promised pictures, so here are pictures of my classroom and the school building. It gives you a sense as well as what Florida is all about... outside.
The hallway outside of my classroom. All the students' lockers are outside. I thought this was extremely odd at first, but this last it became normal to me until tuesday when it started raining non-stop. On Wednesday the students were drenched with rain all day as well, and on a day like that I wish there was hallways at Westminster.
I was very excited that they wrote "Ms" Hamming on my door, because I feel that Miss makes me sound even younger than I am, but many of the students choose to call me "Mrs." Hamming, so really it doesn't matter.

My classroom. One of the teachers that I worked with called it a "mansion" I am very fortunate to be a 1st year teacher at Westminster with my own, very spacious room.
My green chair, which i don't let students sit in (i love kicking them out of it) And it makes me feel tall when I sit in it.
My desk... it's not that messy right?
A front view of school
My car's spot from 7am to 7 pm.
The staircase I ascend every day to get to my classroom.
The deck where some of the students eat lunch. our cafeteria is not large enough to hold all the students, so they are allowed to eat wherever they feel like around campus.
