Camille and Skittles

What was I most excite
d about concerning moving back to Pennsylvania? Anyone who knows me well, knows that it was the chance to see my new kitten for the first time. Camille sleeps so much, and in the cutest places (ex. laundry baskets, much to Mom's chagrin). Kristen has taken to calling her "super fatty fat cat," but Nick takes credit for the name as well. The story is that she is a super hero cat who has a "fat cave" and lures her nemesis "the orange screamer" a.k.a Skittles into the fat cave where she gets stuck. I think my siblings have a little too much imagination and time on their hands. Camille isn't even fat, she's just bigger than Skittles, and Maria of course holds the title in our house as heavy weight cat champion. And while I think "super fatty fat cat" is a bit harsh, no nickname could be more appropriate than "the orange screamer" for Skittles. Every time someone picks that cat up she just meows and meows as though she will die if you don't put her back on the ground.
The new cats have
also changed the pet dynamics in the house. Maria is still the "aloof, too good for everyone cat," but Twinkles was used to being the "too cute, pick you up and hold you all the time cat." With the new babies this is no longer the case. She's been replaced and she knows it, which is obvious because she hisses at the poor kittens every time they come near. Let's just hope they don't try to take over her window or some cat is going to get hurt.
